Finding a flight using Routing Code/Fare Basis

Hi I'm sure this has been addressed on this fantastic Forum. However, I want to book the below flight for 4 people. Search of Matrix/UA site does not locate the flight. Any help appreciated.

Search: Departing FLL on 10/23/16 for LAS
Fare basis code GAK1ACEN
Flying UA
Routing code 550

I'm not sure what help you are expecting. Does the fare exist or not? If you couldn't find it on ITA, what else can you do but call UA?

Just because a fare is filed doesn't mean it is bookable. If you can't locate it through an OTA or google.com/flight or ua.com it's not bookable.

Not uncommon - airlines do this often. They'll put the fare out there so they don't have to go through the process of re-filing it but they won't put any seats in the fare bucket required (in this case G).

A quick search shows UA booking into W which is a mid-tier fare bucket (G is a highly discounted fare bucket) - it would suggest at this point they still think they can get a premium for the flight and haven't opened up the cheaper fare buckets.

W is available on the 6am flight through IAH. The 1142am lowest is M and via EWR lowest is H. For the afternoon, more of the same higher fare buckets. Just in time for a few cruise ships to get back in.

Plus the most important part, departure (on the $69 base fare ) must be on Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday.
