Miles Bloggers...For Real?
Like a lot of people, I follow a number of travel blogs, people like The Points Guy. While fun to read, it does make me wonder how legit some of it is. I know you can travel on sign up bonuses and such, I have done it, some of these bloggers are travelling internationally every week. There is no way, it seems to me, that they can possibly EARN enough miles to cover all those travels.
Are our clicks just financing their travels?
Thoughts?

Really, do you wonder, you just answered your own question. Some bloggers are given free trips, hotel accommodations, etc in exchange for their positive comments and promoting the business.
Its funny how they describe how you can spend a week in XYZ with first class travel, a 4 or 5 * hotel stay and only spend minimal money. All this being done with just some credit card sign up.
Sure, great idea, but not everyone is cut out for that. What are you going to follow up next year, when the kids are older and want to spend a week in Disney, then the following year when your brother/cousin/friend is getting married in Hawaii, or the next year when you want to spend a guys week in Vegas during Superbowl week.
This is not for everyone, you have to be careful.

There was a recent thread about this. Link is below. Also check out the External Miles and Points Resources forum. Tons of discussion on the bloggers.
