Experience with "Off-Brand" Concierge?
I got a FlexPerks Travel Rewards Amex card after hearing the news that my precious Fidelity Amex was switching to Visa.
Anywho, I noted the card offered "Concierge" service, which piqued my curiosity. I spent a while looking for the phone # online, gave up and called a CSR. She gave me 800.525.3355 which got me kinda excited (you Amex Platinum cardholders might find that number familiar) but also a little skeptical.
So, I called up Platinum Concierge and was like "Really?" and they, as expected, we like "No."
I called up US Bank CSR again, and after ~15 minute hold, they directed me to the Connect portal where I finally found the correct number.
There's a particularly hard-to-find beer in my parts, Dogfishhead 120 minute IPA, and I've asked concierges in the past to find a store that has it in stock as a test.
I called up my new Concierge number and hit "2" for "Dining, Entertainment and Concierge Service" and a guy picks up right away.
"Bank of America Accolades travel services, how can I assist you?"
Kind of taken aback, I explain I'm calling for US Bank FlexPerks Concierge. He says they don't service that card. I explain where I found his number, and he says "Umm... OH! You're right!!" He tried to look me up and couldn't find me, then said "Oh well... What can I do for you?"
I give him my request and then sit on the phone for about 5 minutes as he explains his google searching to me. He ends up saying that there are a lot of review sights but he can't find somewhere that actually sells the beer.
All in all, it was an awkward and... we'll say underwhelming experience.
All that said, does anyone have any interesting experiences with non-Visa, non-Amex, non-Mastercard credit card concierges?

What??? I can't make head or tail of your post until the last sentence.
As far as that goes, have you had a look in, for example, the Amex forum, where 'concierge services' are discussed ad nauseam?
