Toronto
Hi,
I would like to fly into Toronto next week.
Flying from IAD/DCA/BWI (Washington DC Area)
Can someone please suggest how do I go about using my miles?
Which airlines is best to go with?
I have more than 100K ultimate rewards points so I can transfer it to any airlines.
Please suggest!
Thanks!

Transfer to BAEC and redeem 4,500 Avios for a one-way DCA-YYZ on US Airways, if you can find MileSAAver availability on your desired flight at aa.com.
Note that only the DCA-YYZ nonstop costs 4,500 Avios; if you must connect via PHL, LGA, or JFK, the trip will cost 9,000 Avios one-way in Coach Class.

If you cannot find any award seats into YYZ, another possibility is to look for award seats into BUF, and drive a rental car or take a bus to Toronto. (Megabus has direct service from BUF Airport to downtown Toronto.) Southwest flies BWI-BUF; US flies DCA-BUF.

"Its showing me 90000 points to fly into Montreal from DC for 2 adults and 1 child."
What is showing you 90,000 points to fly from WAS to YUL for 3 passengers? What routing? One-way or roundtrip?

Where? On ba.com, or someplace else? What is the exact routing?

The problem you are running into is that the itinerary combines two of BA's partners: AA and US. (BA still considers them as separate partners; that will change the middle of next month, when US disappears.) BA has a separate redemption chart when you utilize two or more BA partners on the same redemption; that's why it's pricing at 30,000 Avios/person. The way to get around this is to book each segment individually, for 4,500 Avios each. And even though you are on separate tickets, AA will protect you in the event of irregular operations.

Sure: you can transfer to United, and redeem for travel on UA IAD-YUL or AC DCA-YUL (at UA's redemption rates). But unless you have elite status with UA, UA will charge you a $75/person close-in award booking fee if you are redeeming for award travel that is less than 21 days in the future. (BA does not have such a fee on Avios redemptions.)
