CDG to MIA on Miles
Hi everyone!
I have a very long honeymoon trip booked on miles and points MIA-JFK-AUH-MLE-AUH-CDG-MIA
Everything is on EY except CDG-MIA which is on AA business class.
However the business class is on the old 777 200 config and I would really dislike to travel on these crappy seats on my last segment.
I am looking for alternatives on miles.
I have AA miles, Amex points, UR points and Citi TY points.
I would prefer not to use UR points because I found them the most valuable.
Any ideas on how to get CDG-MIA on business or First?
Thanks!!^^^

Unless you are willing to make a connection somewhere, you need to find out who else -- if anyone -- flies CDG-MIA nonstop.
If you are willing to connect, you can see what's available on AA/BA at aa.com. You can also call AA and check IB availability ORY-MAD-MIA.

You have at least two segments on other than EY. MIA-JFK as well as CDG-MIA.
The only carriers operating CDG-MIA are AA, AF, and (seasonally) SE.
Is CDG a stopover or just a connecting point? If a connecting point only, try looking for EY service AUH-YYZ/ORD/DFW/JFK and AA connection from there or try connecting at a European point other than CDG - e.g. LHR/MAD/MXP. If CDG is a stopover, then look for a connecting point between CDG & MIA - viz. ORD/DFW/JFK on AA/AA; PHL/CLT on US/US; MAD on IB/IB or IB/AA; BCN on IB/AA; LHR on BA/BA or BA/AA; or HEL on AY/AY.
And when looking for First (rather than Business), remember that the vast majority of travelers (including honeymooners) fly in the back of the aircraft.
