Best FF program from MCO?

Please forgive me if this has been discussed but I have searched the forums and am unable to find it. I'm based in MCO and a leisure traveler. I travel approx. 50k a year and currently hold GM with Delta. With the new changes for 2015, I'm looking for a switch possibly. The new changes negatively affect GM as it stands now. Any thoughts on a great ff program that flies out of MCO? Perhaps I can status match in the spring.

Thank you!

To which destinations?

Which specific changes to the SkyMiles program create a problem for you? No point moving to a program which does not solve the problem, nor to trade one problem for another.

Unfortunately, that's not clear cut as it's always a different destination. I fly domestically, anywhere in the Caribbean and Europe for the most part. There are other trips but it's always different. But there is not one route that I fly more than once per year. I have the time and flexibility to choose which days to fly and what route to get there. With regards to specific changes, I worked to reach GM so that I could get the 100% mileage bonus, which is now gone. When I use the Delta calculator to calculate any random trip I've taken this year to compare the new program to the old, it does seem that I'm getting far less in mileage and benefits as a GM with Delta.

With the exception of some puddle hops domestically, nearly any long distance flying on Delta will be reduced mileage next year unless you book expensive last minute tickets or fly first/business fares. UA is no better. AA/US will likely move to the same model when they merge their FF programs. However as far as IRROPS, frontline service, and overall schedules, DL is hard to beat.

For lower level elites like DL silver or gold I suggest Alaska MileagePlan. For now, you can keep flying Delta and American and credit to Alaska. Gets you at least free preferred seating on both carriers.
