My wife and i are getting ready to fly to the United Kingdom, to live.

Could someone please inform us as to the amount of luggage we could take with us? We are planning to take two large suitcases, and a medium size one. Are we allowed to take that amount, or more or less? We will also be taking a computer bag with us each, to serve as a carry-on bag. Will that be okay?

Thank you.

Baggage rules depend on the airline operating your flight, the route, your cabin class (first/business/coach) and sometimes your fare class (Y B M etc.), your elite status with the carrier and alliance, etc.

Many airlines will be happy to allow you to travel with as many as 10 cases each, though of course you will have to pay a considerable amount for luggage over and above the luggage allowance of your ticket.

The exact answer to your question will depend entirely on the airline you choose, and the type of ticket you buy.

If you have lots of luggage/items to transport, you may be better off having your luggage transported by a specialist freight/moving/luggage forwarding/courier company rather than carrying it all yourself.

We plan to travel via Washington Dulles to Manchester UK. I want to travel non-stop.

Regarding the luggage, i will ask the travel agency about that, when we book.

Thanks.
