United p.s.

Hi All -

Newbie to the forums here.

I hope I posted in the right forum, but was curious about united p.s. I have flown united p.s. from jfk a handful of time in business/first. I will now be flying on united 757-200 from ewr to lax. The first seats are the lie flat. I was wondering if anyone has flown this router before and if this is just an internationally configured 757 or if it is a new p.s. route from united.

Thanks,

Jared

"Our p.s. Premium Service flights offer an international product for an exceptional transcontinental travel experience between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO)."

If your on a true lie flat 752 - it must be a intl configuration serving the EWR-LAX route on this particular day.

First off, welcome to Flyertalk ^

True PS service is to/from JFK to SFO and LAX so what you're on EWR-LAX is a PMCO (Pre Merger Continental) internationally configured 757 and they fly every so often on domestic routes (and always nice when you get one )

A quick key to which type of 757 you're one until the fleet and crews are fully integrated is this:

PMUA (Pre Merger United)
All 757-200's, 3 digit flight numbers and all non JFK-SFO/LAX flights will be std domestic first non-lie flat seats.

PMCO:
4 digit flight numbers and 757-200's are internationally configured with lie flat seats. 757-300's are std domestic non-lie flat seats

Now with that being said, there are always last minute 757 aircraft swaps so you might on a PMCO 757-300 where it swaps to a lie-flat 757-200 ^ or a PMUA 757-200 non PS which swaps to the PS ^ version or vice versa for both so it's always good to check the seat maps as you get closer to departure time and then again when you check in
