Consolidated Points/Miles Value Chart?
Hey, I'm new here and am having trouble finding any sort of consolidated chart for rough values of a single point at the major programs. It's obviously not exact science since people value rewards differently, but if you could please point me in the right direction for an up-to-date chart someone has actually thought through, that would help.
For Example:
HHonors Point = 0.6 cents
AAdvantage = 1.2 cents.....
I'm trying to come up with some strategy about using my newer travel credit cards after meeting the minimum spend on each. I have a couple months before my next AOR and want to spend with the right card in the right areas.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum
Every one puts a different value on miles/points. Depends on what you want to use the miles/points for. Any chart would have people disagreeing with the value. So no correct value or incorrect value is possible.

It's not a "rough value" question, tho.
For example, valid answers for Delta would include:
There's no shortcut to doing the hard work yourself. Figure out where you want to go and how many miles it would generally take to get you there vs. cash alternative.
(Some of the bloggers try to shortcut the process and tell you but it's meaningless unless you travel exactly like they do. Thus why so many people have BA Avios they can't use.)
For example, valid answers for Delta would include:
- 1 cent/mile using Pay With Miles
- 1.5 cents/mile redeeming for a coach domestic US flight
- 2.5 cents/mile for a business class flight to somewhere warm
There's no shortcut to doing the hard work yourself. Figure out where you want to go and how many miles it would generally take to get you there vs. cash alternative.

I don't have a particular link for finding values. Search (on Flyertalk and across the web) is your friend.

There is no such thing as a general value of points. The value depends on what you as an individual would like to do with your points. If someone, for example, wants to use airline points for domestic coach tickets, the points will have a different value for them than someone who flies international Business class. As for each program there are dozens of ways of how to spend points, this is really a very individual question and I am not surprised that there is no website valuing programs.

How Would you value these points $$$
I myself get confused with the value of points/cash. Here is an example I hope to get your help on; my biggest question is am I using the correct formula?
Example: I'm planning a stay at a Country Inn at the end of June in Long Island City, NY. I can get the room for $140.00 a night or use 10,000 points and spend $84.00 for the night. That is a $56.00 a night savings. Now to calculate the value of points what should my formula be???
Do I divide 56/10000=.00056 per point which doesn't seem like a lot.
Thanks

Sounds like you're taking the cash+points redemption option? Often that's not a good value. Tho you've got an extra zero in there... 56/10000 = 0.0056 or about 1/2 cent per point. Probably slightly higher if you use after-tax prices.
There are many theoretically better ways to use Carlson points but also many much worse ways.
Do you have another alternative plan? For example, if your third option was using priceline for a total price around $100, then your total savings would only be 100-84=$16 or about 1/5 of a cent per point. Not nearly as good.
