First Class Seating Question

Hi
Let me preface my question by letting you know, I fly a lot for work - sometimes with a group but we don't sit all together. So where I sit is based solely on my personal preferences.

For my parents 50th anniversary I got them First Class tickets to go visit my sister in Kansas - the three of us are flying together. I am in a quandary on how to sit so we can enjoy each others company (this will be my mom's first time flying since 9/11 and first time First Class)

We are on American - flying a 319 and a 738. None are lay flat - and they are all 2+2. So do I sit behind them or do we sit on the same row. Right now we are all in a row in the bulkhead (my preference). Both seating arrangements have their merits and flaws in my opinion, so I am here soliciting opinions to help me with my final seating decision.

Thanks in advance

I'd vote for staying put - fewer strained necks turning around all the time :-)

+1 - it is a lot easier to lean across the row to talk than to try to turn around.

Count me in for staying put. Across the aisle is a lot easier than in front/behind. Hope your mom enjoys the flight up front!

Thanks - I think I will keep it the same. Appreciate the input all.

And I do think my mom will enjoy the front row - she is quite giddy about it. Which makes me happy to do that for her.

I hope you were able to use miles and not cash. Enjoy the trip!

I took my mom along to CDG a few years ago for my company's year end meeting/Xmas party because the wife couldn't make it. Flew J in the 763 lay flat pods. She was like a little kid in there, it was hilarious. Made my whole trip seeing that look of pure giddiness on her face.
