3 Days in DEL? Is it worth it???
So I have the opportunity to pop over to DEL for 3 days for some R&R and sightseeing. India is on my list of places to go, but in my mind 3 days seems like I will barely have time to scratch the surface of all the things to see and experience. If I head over to Agra, that will eliminate a day I would have in DEL. So is 29 hours of roundtrip flying really worth it for a mere 3 days? I am on the fence about the whole thing, as I'd rather wait until I could dedicate more time and see more of the country. Any thoughts, comments, or similar experiences are appreciated!

Where are you coming from? The flight duration/jet lag isn't necessarily a deal breaker if you are starting in Europe. The hassle of getting an Indian visa and cost of the flight might push the whole thing into "not worth it" territory, though. I probably wouldn't do it, but who knows, people have done crazier things for MR purposes.
If you go, I would certainly skip Agra and the Taj. There is plenty to do in Delhi itself for three days. As a consolation prize you could visit Humayun's Tomb, which is very satisfying in itself.

Absolutely NOT in June. Delhi experiences scorching heat in June. While I have survived many Junes in Delhi, as I grew up there, and have spent a few more on since I left the U.S. Those who have time and can afford, head to the mountains, to places like Mussuorie (once a nice retreat, but now a filthy tourist ghetto. Nearby Dhanulti is very nice and peaceful), Nanital, Simla, and Kashmir etc. Some embark upon pilgrims to Badrinath, Gangotri etc. Blood bank donations drop as even those who stay do not venture out much unless they have to.
However, I did take my wife too India in June. And she did visit the Taj Mahal in June. the white marble looked dirty, you could not stand barefoot on it. My only two visits to the Taj have been in June. The vist to the Taj is the best after the monsoons, especially then first full moon night after the monsoons.
