I want to fly exclusively through HYD from now on!
Having just taken a couple of (domestic) flights through the new HYD airport, I am ready to change my entire India M.O. and just use this airport to fly in and out of, as much as possible. With BA about to start service from LHR, this is starting to seem like a realistic idea, especially for leaving India. My hat is off to the developer, GMR. Flying through this airport was like a dream (or more realistically, it was like a normal experience in any other country, instead of the dispiriting, infuriating nightmare that is an outbound international flight from BOM or DEL).
I wish BA had started their flight just a few weeks earlier. On Friday, I ended up my work week in Hyderabad, and flew from there to BOM that evening in order to fly out to LHR. The chaotic, flithy, uncomfortable, annoying mess that is BOM was like a punch in the face after going through HYD.
The one negative in HYD for me was the fact that, not having an Indian mobile phone number with which to receive an access code, I was unable to take advantage of the free 45 minutes of wi-fi offered by Tata Indicom. Free wi-fi! In an Indian airport!

I think Tata is offering this at most of the major airports now? They had the same deal, again for Indian numbers only, at DEL a few months back.

There's usually a tata indicom booth somewhere in the terminal, from where you can get a scratch card with an access code.
