Mumbai Connection Times

Hello

I am flying into Mumbai on Virgin (upper class), arriving at 11:40 AM, and need to book a separate ticket to Bangalore. How much layover time is needed?

On the way back, I have a 1:40 PM Virgin (Economy Plus) flight out of Mumbai. Is is insanity to try to fly out of Bangalore that morning? How long of a Mumbai layover would you recommend for the trip back?

Also, what is the best regional airline?

Advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Jet (9W) and Kingfisher (IT) are good.. the other airlines are pretty good too (some may be "pretty good" only by US standards re planes, though they serve hot meals on board even for 2 hour flights)

Allow 3 hours or so for domestic - international connections from bombay. If you take the 1st flight out of bangalore to bombay you should be able to make your connect.

Agreed. 3 to 4 hours is ideal. Any less, and you are rushing; any more and you are waiting around in BOM's not-so-nice lounges.

we have managed in under 2 hours but I would never allow less than 3 hours to transfer.
