Lounges at DEL & BOM
I have not even arrived in India and I am already confused!
My arrival is actually not what I am worried about. I depart BOM on AI 306 on 12/25/07 at 18:30 and arrive DEL at 20:20. My connecting flight to ORD is at 00:55 Flying in Executive Class with AI and in Business Class with AA.
Two questions: 1.What are my lounge options at DEL (I was told I will have a pass to the Maharajah Lounge in BOM) and 2. Since AI306 is NRT bound, it lands in terminal 2. So...What do I have to do when I arrive at DEL? From comments I have read I have the impression that "in transit" does not really exist. Do I have to exit and enter as if I was arriving at DEL by taxi?
ANY advice will be appreciated!

AI operates out of the international terminal both in DEL and BOM. So you don't need to worry about the 'transit' in DEL. You come in from BOM deplane, stay airside and try to find a AA rep to get your BP. In both DEL and BOM you can use the Maharaja lounge, nothing great to write home about.

That's a great surprise!
THANKS! That is amazing. It will certainly save me a major hassle. I thought that AI would not check bags through to my AA flight and I would have to claim bags and do security all over again. Based on your answer...I don't need to worry...at least not about that. It also seems of all the DEL lounges the Maharajah has the best reputation (albeit not sterling).
I will just hope that my BOM-DEL trip is more or less on time! Does anyone know if I can select a seat before flight time? I read somewhere that F & J PAX can do this with AI...but not how. As I understand it I will be in the upper deck of a 747 which would be a FIRST for me.
Thanks for the help!
