Why is train chart prepared before the journey?
Indian Railways Reservation Chart is prepared at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from Source Station / Remote Charting Location - this allows Waitlisted passengers to know if the status has improved so that they can decide whether to travel or not.
