Transfer through Delhi

I'm arriving by UA from Newark to Delhi at 9:30pm and I've been booked on a connecting flight to Hyderabad at 7am the next day on Jet Airways. Do I have to pick up my baggage at Delhi and do customs and immigration at Delhi itself and then take my connecting flight next morning and check-in my luggage on the DEL-HYD flight, or will my luggage be checked in through to HYD and I will have to do immigration and customs at HYD?

International to International transit in Delhi

I am arriving DEL on TK at 1:30am local time and departing hours later on AI, in Delhi. I won't be able to get an AI boarding pass in advance (because I am on two separate tickets).

Will there be an AI transfer desk open to issue me a boarding pass?

Alternatively will a web-check-in confirmation slip be enough to get me through security?

thanks

If you are not on one ticket you have to clear immigration & customs in DEL, then go up one level and check your bags again (if any) and get your boarding pass. Only if you have no visa for India (and continuing on a international AI flight) you can use the the transfer desk.

International Transit >12 hours

I'm arriving from EWR on UA, and transferring to Jet to DAC 17 hours later (same ticket).

Does anyone know if I can get a boarding card from Jet on arrival in Delhi, even though the flight is 17 hours later?

The Jet site seems to indicate that transfers greater than 12 hours are somehow treated differently. This is important, as an onward boarding card is needed to access the airside transit hotel. Would be grateful for any info from those with experience.

If an onward boarding pass is all you need for accessing the hotel, you can do online check-in with Jet and then show the hotel reception your printed boarding pass..

A few weeks ago I flew into Delhi on UA with a Jet departure the following morning. When I checking in at my origination they gave me the boarding pass for Jet Airways so I already had it. In Delhi you get your bags back after clearing immigration and you keep them until you check in again for the Jet connection the following morning.
