Planned trip to Bhutan
Hi,
I just started to plan a trip to Bhutan (my wife's dream). Here is what I know so far:
- the daily charge in Bhutan is around $250 per person and there seem to be a lot of well recommended travel agencies
- Interested in Buddism and doing trekking (not hardcore)
- Will use BA (first using a companion pass) to fly NYC > London > India (quick search showed Delhi and Mumbai would work on BA metal , Kolkata was not an option on BA > Delphi seems to be the better/closer alternative )
- Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines are the only ones flying into Paro
- on Druk air the pay up to business is very reasonable
- will probably travel October
Any tips that might guide me into the right direction as I am gearing up to do a more in detail research?
All help is appreciated (including the mod moving this if Indi isn't the correct forum)!

That part is in the hands of my wife, but any suggestions are welcome. Duration around 10 days ( with flights etc around 2 weeks).

Have you checked out my trip report from late 2011?

I can recommend Bhutan Gayul Tours (http://www.bhutangayul.com). They responded to emails promptly and their English is excellent. Our guides/drivers were amazing.
