Transit without Visa Question
Hey there!
I'm look to book a MR through Delhi. My routing would be USA-LHR-DEL-LHR-USA quick turn with a 2 hour layover in DEL. I'm a US Citizen. Would I need a transit visa or would I be able to transit without a visa and save myself the expense of the transit visa?
I've read this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/india...-twov-del.html), but since I'm transiting to where I'm flying from, I'm not sure it's applicable.
Thanks

The unofficial policy is that 10 year visas are only issued on "reciprocal" basis (viz. to citizens of countries who issue 10 year visas to Indians). So Brits, Americans, Canadians, etc... are eligible. Other EU nationals are usually restricted to a maximum 2-5 year validity for tourist visas unless they have Indian roots.
