Aurangabad Accommodation

Visiting Aurangabad soon and looking for a decent place to stay - Taj, Lemon Tree & Rama all seem to be somewhat away from the town. I would like to stay someplace where I can easily walk to shops, restaurants etc. regardless of the weather outside.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Need not be a fancy place, but MUST be impeccably clean.

Thanks for the comment; did you have a vehicle at your disposal during your stay at the Lemon Tree? Are there any shops, restaurants (including decent dhabas) within walking distance? You see, I do not wish to endure the hassle of negotiating with auto-rickshaws if I just want to go out for a meal or buy some batteries etc. - hence the question.

BTW, how was the Lemon Tree service in Aurangabad? Was it comparable to what you are used to elsewhere in India?

it was my first time at a lemon tree property so i can't compare it to others....but the service was good....

i ordered room service in the evening & had breakfast in the morning....food was good both times....

i was in a suite, which was basically one large room....the room was spacious & very comfortable....
