DAC-DEL-LHR without a visa

I'm visiting India next week, on (another) single entry visa. At the end of the week I may need to go to DAC, on the Friday evening.

The best flights to return from DAC to the UK would be to fly back via India (probably the 3:xx am on BA arriving 7:xxAM in the UK)

Standard UK passport, but would I need a transit visa to travel back via DEL (or perhaps BOM)?

Thanks

Whoever makes it easy, Jet I guess, they have a interline agreement with BA. This would likely be on two separate tickets though.

That said it only looks like there's two direct flights from DAC-DEL, both in the morning. That seems stupid for capitals of two eighbouring countries?

it would be better if you had a transit visa....but its possible to connect without one....when you land in del you will need help from ba in the transit area to get your bags checked onto your final destination....

Either do it on a single ticket or get a transit visa. It's not worry the hassle.
