I am looking for a car and driver in North Goa for a couple of days later this month.

Has any one used someone or a service that they can recommend?

Carzonrent is what I've used. Fairly reasonable. 1400 rupees for 8 hr 80 km.

I don't see a Goa option on http://www.carzonrent.com/. Do I have to call them to book?

will you be staying in a hotel????if yes then there are tons on taxis available outside your hotel....i've always managed to negotiate a rate directly with a driver for my stay duration....works out quite well....

Thanks! I will probably just take a prepaid taxi from the airport to the hotel and either negotiate with him or find a taxi outside my hotel.

I typically prefer to book a car/driver before the trip but I haven't had any luck finding references this time.

Instead of negotiating - ask at the prepaid booking counter and they typically have daily / long term hire packages available.
