Custom duty in india
I am a freelance Programmer , resident of india, I came to norway at client site , now i will be going back to india in end of this month ,
Norwegian company gave me a new laptop to work for them from india ,
i already have 1 Laptop which i brought with me from india, i think according to indian custom rules , 1 laptop / person is allowed duty free, so in that case will custom duty apply on the new Laptop, since i have not purchased this new laptop , if i show a letter from Norway company declaring the laptop as their property given to me for development only , will the indian customs allow me duty free entry.
I may bring other electronic equipment from Company which are needed for my work , so should i mention everything in letter .

Absolutely no problem, worst case you can keep with them and later import the goods legally by paying the duty. Assuming this is for work you can expense it....
