Long overnight connection in DEL

This is for a single female arriving 1220 am and departing at 7 am. What are her options during the long layover? Is there a hotel within the airport or an all night lounge? She will be flying business class NH inbound and TK outbound.

There is an (expensive) transit hotel which should do the trick.

I was wondering how expensive and checked for an upcoming long overnight transit at DEL and the online booking window is quoting 10,000 INR for an overnighter for 1 person..!!! This definitely must be ranking as one of the most expensive airport hotel rooms around...!!!

I naively stayed at the Eaton Smart transit hotel in Delhi on my first trip to India thinking it would be like one in the U.S. (Single female arriving at 1:00 a.m.).

Unfortunately, one may still have to transfer from the international to domestic side (hotel has access on both sides but seemingly "through" access was not well thought out).

The hotel sent a very sweet staff member to assist but when I did not have a printed boarding pass (was flying during 24-hour window), they would not let me through directly. We excited terminal; went back in terminal after arguing with armed officers; argued with airport staff who eventually checked their computers and printed a boarding "pass" on a daisywheel printer; and traipsed upstairs to a fairly underwhelming room. My expectations were fairly low at that point; let's just say it wasn't the Hyatt. I think I ended up with about half the time I was expecting in the room.

I have read other reviews where people experience fewer issues by having a hard copy ticket for their next leg upon landing (see Trip Advisor) but for that few hours on business, I would suggest searching for lounge options.

a daisywheel? they use dot matrix printers as far as i can see. nobody's even made daisy wheels for the past two decades or more, while there's still a huge market for DMPs for bulk printing jobs like these.

Business travel?

Call the Leela Kempinski and crash for a few hours there. 20 minute ride (in a BMW 5 series) from the airport and a real bed.
