Goa Hotel Recommendation

Have some relatives visiting at the end of May and they’re keen on doing a weekend in Goa while in the country.

Was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations for hotels in Goa (by the beach would be great as well). This would be for a group of 4 adults and a price bracket of say 100 USD$ a night. Am not very clued in on the whole hotel scene in Goa and so any recommendations would be most helpful.

They'd probably be looking at chilling by the beach for the most part and taking in a bit of the nightlife on one of the nights...

Looks like they went with the Taj Holiday Village in the end. I checked on the same & it's coming in at about 150 USD$...I think they were looking for places round bout the 100 USD$ per night mark.(altough will suggest they take a look at this taj option as well)

We have a many hotels in Goa so no need to worry. You can visit tripadvisor website where you will get all the information about hotels. So you can choose hotel according to your budget and comfort.

I am aware that there is a site called Trip Advisor. Since the list of hotels is quite comprehensive thought i'd get some feedback here from folks who are more familiar with the place...

The selection of the hotel shall depend on where exactly they plan to stay in goa, there are tons of beaches therefore it is necessary to decide close to which area they want to be put up.
1) Anjuna Beach
2) Candolim
3) Arambol
4) Baga

are some of the more famous ones. Anjuna has the highest number of tourists.
Some of the good hotels around here are:
Casa Anjuna- starting @ 60$
Double tree by Hilton@ $ 91
Living room by seasons Hotels: $ 36
Taj Vivanta is great too.

if the trip is a long one it could be a good idea to find out about service apartment rentals a cheap but fun way to spend the vacations with family.

Hope this helps

For a family vacation, we have stayed several times at both Holiday Village and the Goa Marriott and would recommend the Marriott - though I would doubt that its available for INR 5500 per night. Its next to the sea and has a tiny public beach. But its in the heart of Panjim so that makes getting around including day trips to the north goa area much easier.

Park Hyatt has a nice beach, and some villas on the side iirc.

I personally prefer the grand Hyatt tho. Better hotel, albeit much inferior beach.

well are the hyatts really upscale? last time they went to sandy lane and loved it in the carribic. looking for that kind of upscale hotel, the price per night doesnt matter, needs to be the best service, best beach and awesome hotel.

They're better off going somewhere else other than Goa then.

Your welcome.

I agree with Savage25 tho. Elsewhere is better then. I don't think you will get that luxury in Goa. Try nearby Maldives for tons of options, or Koh Samui perhaps (with a Conrad villa or W suite.)
