I never came across this option for people connecting international to domestic. Otherwise the 6 hour option would be attractive in many situations.

However, in my case, while I was debating the options I was aware of, the issue was decided by the following promo I learned about:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/club-...-1st-post.html

By staying one night in any Radisson worldwide you earn a bonus of 50K points; Park Inn nets 44K points. That was difficult to turn down.

So I am using a Radisson in BKK and Park Inn Gurgaon in DEL.

BTW, Park Inn is about 8-9 miles away. It emailed an offer of INR 1200 for airport transfer (each way). I assume one can do better with normal cabs?

Rule of thumb is Rs 25 per kilometer at night. It comes down to Rs 20 during the day IIRC.

Thanks. Even estimating for 20 km at Rs 25/km, I am only looking at Rs 500. I'll take a cab.
