DEL T3 same day turnaround

DEL T3 same day turnaround
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a same day turnaround at DEL? I am thinking of doing a CX751 > CX694 turnaround HKG-DEL-HKG. The aircraft has a 3.5 hour layover in Delhi.
I assume that DEL is set up like most international airports, i.e. with an international transit point where I can just re-clear security without needing to clear Indian immigration? From the reports I've read T3 sounds a vast improvement over the old T2, but would appreciate confirmation from those in the know nonetheless.

while i have never done a day turnaround at t3, you don't need to come out of the airport or clear immigration to get back into the departure area for your return flight....
