Visa puzzled
Firs post….
I’m going to Nepal in October.
Early October on the way from Italy to Kathmandu I will stop on Mumbai aiport from 1AM to 8AM.
I will not exit the “transfer” area so I guess I do not need a visa.
On the way back, early Noveber, I will come from KTM to Delhi and stop in DEL from 5PM to 10AM before heading to Italy. I’m planning to apply for a Visa and have a quick tour/dine and a decent sleep. I have been in Delhi before few times so I’m familiar with India.
My questions are:
would you confirm I do not need a Visa for the first transfer and I do need one for the second stopover?
If I do a single entry Visa do I risk that customs stamp it in Mumbai on the to way to KTM letting me without Visa for the return trip?
Wouldn’t it be safer a double entry Visa?
Thanks
Pippo

1. Correct
2. read 3 below
3. multiple entries within 6 months not permitted (except on a business visa) - there are some other threads on FT India forum that I can't find at the moment, that deal with this.

welcome to ft pippo....you should not have a problem with a single entry visa since you are not planning on leaving the transit area in mumbai so your passport won't get stamped....
