I got charged in Rupees when I did mine, I'm supposedly upgraded for my DEL/BOM and BOM/DEL flights for a quick down and up trip I have tomorrow. I'll let you know if I have any issues, but otherwise, seems like a great deal! I got mine for 3000 INR each way.

A word of advice,

If your travelling ex-lhr, do not use the flexible travel option. I understand that if your flexible, they can change your flight depending on the flight loads and what you specify (+2days, -2days). You get rewarded a certain amount but this is far less than what you would get if you are bumped off the flight under EU regulations!!!

Kingfisher seems to have downgraded catering in economy on at least some of their flights within India. Is the same true for the forward cabin in which people would be upgrading?

Logged into optiontown and was offered the upgrade for a £2 nonrefundable fee and £50 for the upgrade if available. I don't really think its a good deal for such a short flight as I get lounge access and priority checkin anyway with my NW Gold.

Got a reminder email today and checked the upgrade offer again. Its dropped to INR 2490 (about £33), which makes it a little more attractive.

Booked an IT economy award for my sister using DL miles HKG-BOM-GOI-BOM-SIN over the Christmas rush period (revenue flights for the dates she wanted were £700 so 50K DL miles was a steal), and Optiontown upgrades are available for those award flights as well. The HKG and SIN flights are INR 9720 and the GOI flights are INR 2490, with INR 250 and 100 signup prices respectively.

I have been declined of upgrade on award ticket. I have been told that they do not upgrade Award tickets.. their site nowhere mentions that..

They charged the Sign-up Price and Upgrade Price. I failed to understand why have they charged my card if they were not to upgrade my "Award" ticket..

Am I missing something obvious..??

Sorry, I haven't upgraded the award flights so can't tell if it works or not, just that it is offered.

don't know if award tickets can be upgraded or not but if they have charged your card then either they can be upgraded or you should get your money back....have you called them????

I thought they charge the sign-up fees regardless of whether you get upgraded, but not sure.

I am thinking of initiating chargeback...
