Seating Preference

Will be travelling to Minnesota in august.

9W226 - Chennai to Brussels - A330-200
9W228 - Brussels to Newark - 777-300ER
CO370 - Newark to Minneapolis - 737-700

I need help in choosing my seats especially in the Chennai to Brussels and Brussels to Newark sections. couldnt find Jet seat maps anywhere. Which seats are the best?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

P.S.I'm a newbie flyer

You could ask at checkin for an exit row, or you could use online checkin on Jet Airways right at the 24 hour mark to see what's left for you.

I dont think non elite (that is gold / platinum card) holders are going to be allowed to block the good seats before that.

Blocking seats

Even as a Platinum flying on a revenue business class seat, I had to actually call customer service to get seat assigned. You cannot do this on the website until 24 hrs before departure. They also reserve a set number for airport release so even as a top tier elite flying on revenue fares, I had to go to the airport a few times to get seats assigned on International J.

If you're flying business, I recommend Window seats - It is a herring bone configuration 4 across (narrow and angled but sufficient length). Not sure of coach seating on wide body aircraft.

I just went to the travel agent, and she's asking me which seat to book! I have no idea and said I'll return in some time. Her software showed a very primitive layout which did not make out any emergency exits. So now I need the correct seat map, so that i can make a decision. Where can I find it?

So, the question is, whether you are in Y, C or F...

I think row 24 (bulkhead) and 30 (emergency exit) are the best in Y on the A332. (I can't remember, but I will try to post here again, if I have time to research this)

Seating is 2 - 4 - 2 on this aircraft.

PS: Welcome to FT, theblackpanther!

seatguru shows two configurations for 9w A330. Does anyone know which one is used on the MAA-BRU flight?
