Elite mileage reqs on 9W

The 'innovative' mileage program that 9W has (with dynamic tier review) seems fine but it is totally unclear what requirements are for different elite levels.

It seems ons needs 15K miles for Blue Plus. How much for Silver, Gold and Platinum? I assume 25K, 50K and 75K but nowhere to be found on their site.

Anyone have insight on this?

The DTR system also allows Fast Track, enabling members who have a very high frequency of travel, to upgrade to a higher tier within jut six months with half the number of flights.

Thanks! Do you know how the 6 month period works? Is the clock reset after upgrading to next level, and you get fresh/new 6 months to make next level?

Yes, I think so....

I have found it beneficial to drop to gold, then back up to Plat...PM me for details....

9w website is sorely lacking clarity. i was under the assumption that to upgrade from no status to gold, all you have to do is clock 30k miles in 6 months or 45k miles in 6 months to upgrade from no status to platinum. is that not the case?

thanks,

You assumption is correct. The way it works in practice is that you get upgraded from Blue to Blue Plus first and then from Blue Plus to Silver and then to Gold and then to Plat. I was upgraded quickly this way.

At each stage, ALL qualifying miles earned in the preceding 6 months are used. You do not lose the miles earned in previous upgrades (as is done for tier points in BA). In other words, if you fly 45,000+ miles in 6 months you do get upgraded to Plat under Dynamic Tier review. However, you need to get the full miles needed in a year for renewal afterwords or you will drop your tier.

thanks for the info.

let's say i qualify for platinum in august 08, when will that status be valid till? does it mean i need 90k miles in a rolling 12 month window after august 08 to stay at platinum level?
