Some guidance on using AI for *A
I am finding that I fly asia *A carriers a lot more right now with most travel on AI. Is there a trick for dealing with them? I have had some issues already with tickets getting credited to my UA account.
I also find that I can almost never modify a ticket online. The website always makes me call in (which is painfully slow). I also find that schedule changes are CRAZY. Is this normal? If I book something a month out I can almost guarantee that I will be changed (and that seems ti trigger the no online update issue).
I am not sure if this is the appropriate place or even if there is another thread. I looked, but I could not find anything. If there is, would someone point me to the correct thread?

Unfortunately, that's AI. Very very poor IT systems... and they're still struggling with scheduling and plane deployment post their merger.
Forget one month out.. I have tickets that are 9-10 months out and they're constantly tweaking those schedules as well... constantly messaging and emailing about 5 minute schedule changes!
Others have reported that they can now credit all (including ex-UK) flights to UA, maybe that's one less issue to worry about.

The IT is not poor, but they have not activated the front end / customer facing feature of the Altea suite they purchased from Amadeus. Very strange, considering their sibling TCS does the Altea customising and back office work for a number of airlines that run on the Altea suite.
