ln 592 is in its first test flight as we type/read:

ln 554, 585 & 558 seem to have been delivered to AI and are undergoing interior fits.
589 had its CAF on Nov 14
594 is now fitted with engines and should have its first flight soon

592 had its second flight on Nov 24
594 had first flight on Nov 24, second this monday
589 was ferried to SIN for paint like 585 a few weeks ago
At this pace all 6 should be done and ready for transfer to India in the course of the winter.

Has anyone had their previously booked AI aircraft changed automatically from the old to the new without having to reschedule?
I am booked on AI (77L) from DEL to SFO in late April in (I). From what I've seen on Youtube these aircraft are worse for wear and I would love if they automatically change out to the "new" A359.
How likely is this scenario?
Please excuse if this is the wrong thread to post these questions.

I see that most of the domestic famiiarisation routes involve Bengaluru, does that mean the aircraft is likely to be based there? I am due to move to Delhi shortly and was hoping that they might be based there and take over some of the flying to the UK, which like most of Europe seems to have been passed over on the new aircraft front, at least from Delhi, NB I see BOM-LHR is getting the ex-EY planes.

As things stand today the A359 will be based in DEL. Old AI used to do training flights to CCU and BLR, probably because of the available traffic and short stage length. The recent induction of the EY B77W saw training flights between BOM and DEL.
