I have a DEL-CDG flight on Vistara and then a European connection on AF both are in Business but separate tickets. Would anyone know if Vistara would through check my bags to the AF connection?
It's possible to do this due to their interline baggage agreements but all depends on if they are willing to do it. Anyone tried doing this?

The agent could do it in the system (AF & UK both use Amadeus Altea so its just adding your AF booking to the UK flight) but it needs some skill and most importantly willingness.
The issue is the AF flight is a reward ticket so one is ticketed via Vistara and the other via AF.

Ticketing doesn't matter, the agent has to add the second ticket to the first in the system and then issue the baggage tag. But first s/he has to know what to do and be willing to do it
Airlines are hesitant to interline for a number of reasons, as @B747-437B can surely elaborate in detail.

Yeah I guess issues with lost and damaged baggage etc right. Would be interested to know though @B747-437B
I am not sure what I will be doing yet. But say if I have a DEL-CDG on Vistara (night stay in Paris) then FRA (LH) next afternoon but decide to go to London (AF) instead and I find a cooperating agent would they be able to check my bags to the London AF flight departing the same day as when Vistara gets in?
Or does the LH segment the next day stop them from doing that?

If the LH segment is on the same ticket they won't be able to ignore that and interline you onto AF.
I tried this 2 times, once in June last year & then again a few months later in October. The route was DEL-BOM-AMS-JFK both times, where DEL-BOM was an award UK ticket & BOM-AMS-JFK was a revenue KL business class ticket. Both times the agent refused to interline the luggage.
Just to confirm they did not allow it. Wouldn't even entertain the question.
