Saw the mail. Looks good for elite members. 50% Bonus for Gold is very good and will push me to retain the tier.

50% on the fare class you buy, not on 100%.

IMHO whole programme is terribly downgraded especially for Plats

lessons learnt for domestic travel from 17th aug onwards

B & G class- Jet does not want us to travel on these classes so I will look for other options now preferably from low cost carriers

W & O class- With no lounge access, no additional baggage allowance, negligible miles, cancellation and rescheduling charges and above all no upgrades by miles or vouchers- Here again I will look for other options now preferably from AI or Vistara

On a lighter note

Passenger will still be served meals and Plats can still checkin from exclusive counters even while traveling in G, B, W & O class

True to their advt-For a little more, you get more.

How do you book a higher fare bucket with an OTA?

Is there a way to know class before booking the ticket?

You need to call them and make the booking.

I am wondering the same thing. Will check with Jet airways for confirmation.

Suddenly Flying Returns isn't looking all that bad.

Not on jetairways.com, as far as I know, but you can look it up on ITA - though there, only the cheapest available fare bucket displays, I think.

On jetairways.com, after you select the flight and continue to the next page, then if you click on the flight details link, it shows the booking class.

Where do you interpret this from? I see lounge access as part of the offering for all Premiere tickets. I think they just did not explicitly call out award tickets.

As per clarifications posted here, redemption tickets continue to have access to Lounge based on status.

Yup that makes sense. If one is travelling business would be odd to not have luggage and lounge privilege attached the same even if it is an award ticket.
