Speculative Amex Points transfer

I have some 50k on my Amex India account.. somehow they managed to cancel my account and now I have a new card and a new account.. but the old points need to be transferred to one or another FFP within a month.. dunno where should I do it speculatively, as I have no travel planned..

Can do it to AI Flying returns, but not sure of their redemption process.. never had any miles on their program enough to redeem..

Jet has a terrible transfer rate.. plus have enough miles to last me for 2014..

Have too many miles on BA.. dam this is confusing..

Since you have so many miles on BA... maybe you want to diversify and transfer some to a *A program? ANA would not be a bad choice, AC is OK too. ANA has a very nice premium product and they do run mileage discounts from time to time if you ever fly their metal. That said, there are not many flights between Japan and India... although *A in general has decent service to/from India.

Hmm.. that's a line of thought I hadn't explored.. that I should collect some miles in *A.. i have a small stash in United, both on my my account and my wife's account.. but some more on ANA wouldn't be that bad.. could use it for a holiday to Japan may be.. or as a position flight for an asia holiday..

Agreed.. and they have some killer value deals on AA too.. clubbed with the low tax, no last minute booking fee and no cancellation charge, they are simply great some days.. I booked two awesome quick getaways in each month this year and still have some 200k left there..
