many thanx for your quick reply. the form needs me to give the partner name and a flight number. But, as i can see in the US airways/United website, there is no direct flight from LGA to ALB. what flight number should i write then? Also, from your experience, how much time should this take :)
Very slow indeed. :td: |
Most Value-for-Money redemption on 9W
Was wondering whether redemptions are more VFM on domestic or international routes and what is the correct way to determine that
I mean do you compare reward option with revenue option on same flight/carrier or do you compare it against the best revenue option available for the day If one checks on DEL-LHR route, then one-way eco is available at 27K miles plus 12K INR while revenue ticket is of ~38K INR so effectively 1 rs per mile but if I compare it to best revenue option on any airline i.e. of 23K (1stop) or 31K (non-stop) then it is anywhere between 0.4 to 0.7 INR Also on domestic DEL-BLR, reward option is 15K miles + 1.2K INR while revenue option is 5.8K INR on 9W but 3.7K (best on any other airline) so anywhere between 0.17 to 0.33 INR per mile |

International Y is not worth it is the general view.. Domestic tickets in Y are decent IMHO but many disagree.. I personally tend to check out the miles requirement compared to the lowest full service airline for that day to take a call.. check out the below link.. will give some idea as few fellow fter's have shared their experience.. btw.. many other threads on this in this forum IIRC.. so do do a search @:-) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/india...-jet-mile.html |

IN FT , J and Y are used interchangeably for Business and Economy classes respectively.. and usually not meant to specify exact ticketing bucket.. |
