NEED some advice SIN-DEL

Hello all

I am arriving in SIN (SQ) in J and need to buy a connecting flight on to Delhi.

I see 2 real option...continue on SQ in Y - I believe this is a 772.

For the same price I can take Air India in J. It is a narrow body A319.

Seems like a no-brainer but I am a bit hesitant taking AI from some of the reviews. Is AI J better then SQ y?

Advice is appreciated....Cheers.

Yes. Take AI.

It's close to 6 Hrs Flight, you would be better off in a bigger seat.

I've not tried AI Biz. But SQ Y is nothing special as well.

Unless you have a mileage program constraint like wanting to bank miles on a *A, OW carrier only (etc.), I agree with whizkid that the Biz class option is better on AI than Y on SingAir.

Cheers

I would take AI J over SQ Y.

My only slight concern here would be interlining baggage and ensuring you are protected in case your flight into SIN is delayed. Both of those aspects would be easier if you were continuing on SQ.

Can you build in an overnight at SIN? (Plenty of reasonable hotels and some great food in SIN!) and then the next day take AI in J...

Just a clarification which won't make much of a difference but sin del is on the 320 and not on the 319. The seats and everything is the same.

The hard product is similar to domestic F in the United States. Soft product varies of course, but in general, Asian carriers have better service than American carriers

The 320 aint a great J product but comfortable legroom for sitting. If you are a frequent flyer with SQ, you can accrude SQ miles when flying AI. Hold on to your boarding pass. And the SATS lounge is pretty good.
