isn't this only on the mangalore-dubai sectors ATM?

Do you think that other Plats have the other A/C/D/F seats, or is Jet really trying to sell them over offering them to a Plat such as you?

This ticket was booked for my spouse who is just a blue plus.. ticket booked online on jetairways.. once booked got the option to prebook the seats and did that.. no payment was asked ..

By itself, charging for advance seat selection is fine.

I'm not sure.

But knowing Jet, they will likely send out a communiqué on 27 May that states "Effective 4 May we will..."

Everybody can pre-book on international segments.. Plat pre-booking is domestic only.

Yes, but Plats are able to pre-book the front/ emergency exit rows on international segments, while others can only do so during web check-in.. I guess now Jet has opened such premium seats to non-plats as well, with fee ofcourse.

That *used* to be the case, some years ago!

However, earlier this year my non-status family were able to grab bulkhead seats on Jet - have no idea how that was allowed.

Of course, then Jet moved everyone to the back of the plane (as they always did and still do) after OLCI started.

They really do not have a clue how to operate professionally...

No fee was charged for pre-booking these atleast till now..
Lets see what happens during OLCI..

Online fares at Jet site

I have been tracking 9W flights prices on bkk- ccu return for the past 1 month..
Booked some tickets 1 month back at about INR 12k return which seemed quite a good deal considering the other option was Indigo at 10k ( but at really bad timings )..

Now I see that the prices have fallen further and are between INR 10-11k on 9W ! ..
Last year I had nearly 60 flights in this sector but never got tickets less than 13k INR ?

Are others getting similar fares in other sectors too..

Note, that the tickets are for June / July this year so not very far out too..

I guess the feature still exists. As a plat, you can "Pre-reserve" seats, which includes bulkhead seats as well, free of charge. If a non-plat is booked on the same PNR along-with a plat, he/she can also pre-reserve any seat. I dont know if that has changed very recently, but I was able to do that till a month back.

this exists still. That is why, I've had a changed preference now to ticket travelling colleagues with my own ticket so that they can get a pre-resv'd seat. Earlier I used to prefer everyone getting their own PNR's issued.

You mean domestically, correct?

I still reiterate that I was able to book non-status and place them in (T>48) bulkheads in Y, but who were subsequently moved, as usual...

What was not "usual" (as a few years ago), was that I was able to seat them in bulkheads - to be clear on this.
