BOM Jet Lounge

Hey Guys,
had a quick question regarding the Lounge Jet Airways uses at Mumbai Airport.
I have to travel Toronto-Mumbai 4-5 times a year and the last time I flew Jet Premiere (their Business Class). First off, I'd like to say that it was recommended to me by people in this forum and the onboard service was top notch as was the actual product and the stop over in Brussels works out perfectly as I have family in Antwerp. The only issues I had was the lounge in Mumbai (and even Brussels - but that was still acceptable). At first I was scuttled away and told it was full, on returning I was let in only to find that there was no place to sit and the food offering was minimal and the total experience was pretty appalling.
Is there any plans of having a dedicated Jet lounge? And what other options are there at Mumbai airport (paid or unpaid) since I'll be making this journey quite a bit in the foreseeable future.

Thanks ,
Melinda.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

I'm assuming you're talking about the international terminal, right? I've been to two of the lounges there, most recently a couple of weeks ago. One is the one for F/J passengers for various airlines, including 9W, and is decent -- you can fix yourself a stiff drink and get something to eat; the chairs are reasonably comfortable; the toilets aren't up to much. The other is part of the Priority Pass program and looked a little nicer and less crowded but with fewer eats.

The lounges in the domestic terminal are always overcrowded in my experience but others here might have different takes and you should heed their advice since they'll have more experience to draw from.

Safe travels.

i have never been a fan of the international airport in bom....the lounges are definitely not up to the mark....jet has stated before that it plans on having a dedicated lounge at both del & bom but not one knows when & if that will happen....

The jet lounge in Mumbai is a contract lounge as you know and shared with many other airlines, hence the crowd! I don't expect it to change till a new terminal building is pressed into service. Though you should alwaysbtry and insist with the lounge to let you in! Otherwise, sit at the iifa bar across which is not so noisy as compared to sitting in the concourse.

That's unfortunate. I was almost hoping there was some hidden gem at BOM that only you guys knew about :P. I guess I'll try out the IIFA bar or the other Priority Pass lounge that was mentioned.
I have 4 trips between next week and Feb so at least I have lots of chances to maybe stumble upon something that's acceptable
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all

Melinda.
