Infant bookings

If there is an Infant in the booking, Indigo does not allow the 1st 5 rows to be booked. Wierd!!!

I have the 1st row booked on an Indigo flight. Want to add an infant but they want to change the seat to the 6th row or behind.

Also no one 60 or above in exit rows. I don't think of 60 as infirm, but maybe in India it is.

Don't believe they will give you a pre-allocated seat! Here is the reply from Indigo after they gave a way my grandson's "pre-allocated" seat to a CIP:

Typical fine-print nonsense from Indigo and another reason I avoid this airline.

They are another KF waiting to happen. All the positive media spin now is pending their IPO where they hope to make a killing. The .... will start to hit the ceiling after that.

I agree. There is something ferris about them. They claim to have the highest loa factors and make profits. However, whenever I have travelled or know someone who travelled, the plane has been almost half empty. Also while flying, when we ask for start up, we have to tell the Atc guys number of passengers on board. I have heard spice jet a lot of times ask for start up with an almost full flight, but have almost never heard indigo do that.

Most of the times it is with 120. 130 pax only. 50 percent of the flights I operate have loads above 85% yet air india's load factor is around 70%.

But these guys consistently seem to have 60% loads yet their load factor is 90%

I frequently take indigo flight on the CCU-DEL route (the timing 11:45 seems very comfortable!!) and the check-in staff has always been kind enough to give me the EE seat when i request them (probably seeing my height which is 6 plus!!).. Maybe it is just this flight, but, the load factor has also been decent always (90% i would say)... Although i can't comment on the other routes (as i take 6E only on this route instead of 9W), i have never seen load factor less than that!! :)

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what is a "start up"?

Have they withdrawn this on International routes? I can't seem to be able to pick my seats on the online site.

The plus option shows Lounge/food/luggage combo at a rip off 6k!

I was able to select a confirmed seat (EE) using the plus option when I flew on Indigo about 4 months ago - was also offered a "meal", took it - but after an inspection threw the clear cling-wrap, it was too full of mayonaise to even consider putting it in my body...

Mainly required it for the seat allocation and the increased baggage allowance.

I can't seem to get it for International flights. When I click on seat allocation it says not applicable for international flights. I guess they stopped it?
