Partner award ticket blocking?

Partner award ticket blocking?
I tried to book CX HKG--LAX flight with Jet mile. I successfully got three tickets. But for the 4th one, even if I can see there is a seat on CX website, I still can not get them from Jet Privillege. I am not sure if CX limit# of seats to Jet. The 4th reservation is on waitlist but can not be confirmed. This has been pending for two days. I asked Jet agent to check it from time to time but still can not get it confirmed.

Anyone has experience on this issue?

CX is probably withholding availability to Jet. They keep extra seats for their own FF members.

How much is that reward?

Finally I got the seat. Although it is a pain to use Jet miles, they can keep the reservation on waitlist for quite some time.

It costs 80K mile. With asia mile, it only costs 70K. Relatively small difference.

if the partner airline is withholding the seat then there isn't much jet can do about it....

Agreed. You are lucky you got the seat 24hrs later.
