Luggage allowance

I am flying in to BOM with an infant in lap on an AirFrance BE award ticket. My final destination is HYD and I could not book award ticket all the way to HYD because of DL's number of segment limitation. I am thinking of buying a revenue ticket in coach from BOM-HYD-BOM to complete the itinerary. My BE ticket allows me to check in 3 bags or 50lbs (or is it 70lbs?) each. I believe 9W or IT checked baggage allowance is much less than that (20lbs?). How does it work in this scenario? Is it possible to link the revenue ticket portion with the award ticket so the checked baggage allowance is same all the way to my final destination? FWIW I am a DL PM. Thanks for your help.

AFAIK, you cannot link a 9W or IT revenue ticket with an award issued by DL.

The luggage rules for 9W/IT will apply (20Kgs). You can try to request two pieces to be allowed (when you check in at the airport), but no guarantee that they will allow it.

if your connecting flight is immediately after your international flight then there is a good chance that 9w/it will allow your international baggage allowance....however, there is no guarantee as the airline is well within their right to refuse....

9w will honor international baggage allowance. this is the extract from their website on the outward segment. however, inward also people have been given this benefit

"
Note: For all tickets purchased in India, international baggage allowance will apply on routes wholly within India on Jet Airways / Jet Airways Konnect flights when the guest has a connecting international flight of any airline on a separate ticket. The below conditions have to be met;

* The stopover should not exceed beyond 24 hours
* The guest should provide proof of such international travel

Excess baggage charges will be applicable if the guest fails to produce proof of international travel.

According a kingfisher telephone agent, they will accept 2 bags (23kg each) if you have an intl connection w/in 24 hours to US. He was unable to tell me if they honor elite allowances (i.e. star alliance gold).
