Need advice on which FF program to join
We have been members of Singapore KrisFlyer Star alliance for quite some time as we lived in Singapore. Now we have moved to the UK recently. I don't see the current membership put to good use as we will be travelling to India often and with in Europe occasionally.
Can someone please suggest which FF program will suit us best ? We generally travel economy, prefer British, Jet airways, KingFisher and AI more often than the middle east based airlines like Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Gulf etc. We have health insurance in UK and India and don't want to pay extra just because we are transiting through a third party country (unless ofcourse we are taking a transit + holiday in middle east that is not quite that often!)
Thanks for your help in advance.

If u hv more flying on UK - India sector go for 9w, if more within EU then for either BA or LH..note that LH M&M has very few miles on the lowest Y booking classes..
Unless AI joins *A soon and then AI could be an option..
Btw.. welcome to FT

Do keep in mind that non-US carriers charge fuel surcharge (YQ), so if you are someone who redeems awards in economy, its almost a waste of effort in being loyal as the YQ can be almost 2/3 rds of a paid fare.
Since you will be in UK, I'd suggest going with some American program as some of them have options to earn miles through non-flying means such as credit cards. Even AC might be good for you as they charge YQ only on AC flights.
The only exception for US carriers is DL as they also have some fancy charges for awards originating in Europe, plus they have few partners and have very very poor availability.

welcome to ft uk2india....i would recommend jet but also keep in mind that kingfisher is set to join one world later this year so either one of those programs would be a good bet....
