Online check-in when starting on a codeshare
I have booked MAD - BOM via LHR for next week, first time on Kingfisher. The first leg is a codeshare on BA to LHR.
Out of interest, I had a look at the "check-in online" page on Kingfisher.com., as I would like to try to bag a decent seat. Although I obviously couldn't check in as the flight is still 10 days away, I had a look at the required fields. An obvious problem is the fact that Kingfisher doesn't list MAD as a departure point, because they don't fly there themselves. There didn't seem to be any option to enter MAD at all.
Also, I couldn't just enter LHR as a departure point because it doesn't match the booking reference.
Is there any way round this? Or will it simply work with the booking reference once I get to 48 hours before departure?
Thanks!

what is your class of travel????you could always call up kingfisher & they should be able to block the seat for you if you are traveling in business....if not then you will probably have to wait till the day before departure....
