Jet Stand by question

Does Jet allow stand by on earlier flights? Here is what I am trying to do. The flight I want is sold out in economy and wide open in Business. Jet won't move my ticket to this flight as the base fare of my upgraded ticket is not available as Economy is sold out. Even though the business seats are available that day. Apparently you need to move the Economy ticket first and then request an upgrade.

What's Jet's policy on this? If I turn up at the at airport one day before then will they let me fly in Business even though my upgraded ticket is for another day? Will I have to pay the fare differance? How does that work for a sold out flight? I am currently in K.

This is for a International flight.

jet won't do this....i have been in a similar situation twice....once for an international flight & once on a domestic flight....both times i was told i would have to pay the fare difference (which was quite a bit) if i wanted to travel on the earlier flight....

its quite strange though....i mean, if there is an empty seat then why not just charge the little fee they charge for the date change & let the passenger fly earlier????

I know very strange! I have to now wait a day and catch the next day flight when the flight I want is wide open anyway in Business.

They should just match the upgraded class to the available class. If I is available then change.
