Carry-on limits on 9W and IT?

I know both 9W and IT have stated maximum weights for carry-on bags. Do either of them regularly check the weight of carry-on bags?

I've been to some places where they regularly check and a lot where you won't get hassled if you don't make it look heavy.

If it matters, I will be flying between Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

Thanks.

you won't have a problem as long as the carry on bag does not look of feel big....i've never had them check my carry on bag on either airline on the routes you mentioned....

Second carry-on bag?

9W's website states that "guests are permitted to carry one laptop over and above one piece of hand luggage as cabin baggage." I assume they intended to say laptop bag - can anyone confirm? I am also wondering how closely they look at the size of the laptop bag (and whether I should crimp India's economy by holding back on souvenir shopping). We have a number of 9W flights coming up - all domestic but on 737's.

the only time I've found them checking extensively on hand luggage is on ATR flights. Usually they don't bother and if its regulation size but on the heavy side of life they don't trouble you - no scales checking or anything - but please lets not give them ideas...

I have had issues at LHR on multiple airlines - but LHR hand baggage is measured by BAA security and not specific airlines - did they stop you through security or at the gate? was it 9w staff?
