that's what i meant....online they only let you book 1 first seat....doesn't matter if its the day before departure & their entire class is empty....

Going to book up a flight for June next week. Will let you know how I get along on the wait list regards.

So just to confirm what you guys have saidI should book entirely with miles, confirm one F seat and ask them to waitlist the second F seat. They should charge me for the one ticket now and the other will be charged when its confirmed?

If the waitlist doesn't clear then I will just have to make the other half sit in the back

i would never try to make mrs. saad sit in the back....i don't think i would remain married after the flight is over....

if you are using upgrade vouchers or miles to upgrade then i think you may have a better chance at getting the 2nd first ticket....that is just my gut feel....

go ahead & book the ticket that is available....then call jp & speak with a manager....let them know you want to be put on a wait list for the second ticket....if the flight is not full then you should get it....

I seriously doubt that they will let me waitlist through miles though. Lets see, will keep you posted.

Make sure (as both saad and I have said before) to secure a biz seat, which you can cancel once they confirm your second F seat. Inform them that you have done this also!

I think Lallyr is using miles to book a full award seat, rather than an upgrade...

Of course they will!

You will have to fill out the (Jet) award request form (either manually or online) and WL the second seat!

another thing you can do is to find out how heavy their load in first is....if its empty then you have a good chance of getting the ticket....if you have a travel agent then they can find out for you....if by some chance you can't find out then send me a pm with your flight date/route & i'll find out for you....

I am trying to book a 1 way in F BOM-LHR in September (using AA miles). I can see that no seats have been sold, but still there is no award availability? Any clues on this? I thought they allowed 1 seat per flight in F?

Well thinking about it, may not be 100% accurate, but I look on expedia.com to see what seats are assigned. Most flights in Sept in F are all free (according to my method) & would be suprised if no seats were assigned when booked.......so my conclusion is that they have yet to sell any seats!

For the whole week I want to travel, only 1 day is available & that does not really suit.

Somewhat surprisingly, not everyone chooses seats at booking, or even before check-in. Even in F and J.

Unfathomable to the FTer!

try checking on the jet site....there are a total of 8 seats in f....the site will let you book 7 in one go....that will give you an idea about how full they really are....
