Great idea, though I agree, implementation may be a big problem. But even before that, I doubt the airlines lobby will allow this to go ahead in its present form. Even the best in the ministry aren't entirely incorruptible!

even if there is one incorruptible official, he or she will be surrounded by corrupts ones who will make sure that they get rid of the trouble maker so that they can continue to feed of dirty money!

going back to the point, have any of you guys ever been offloaded/denied boarding etc etc in India? feel free to share any examples

Flying SXR-DEL on S2 3e years ago the flight was delayed 24 hrs. No refreshments were provided when waiting, the flight was continuously going to leave in an hour (even when the plane hadn't yet left JMU) much much much much argument was required for a hotel room (and these were only provided for foreigners like me, not Indian residents)
