Pre reserved seating - One world Ruby
Hi all. I have one world Ruby through my JAL status (Crystal). I have booked a flight from MAD-LHR, and booked this through the BA we site and it has a BA flight number. However it says it's operated by Iberia and I have confirmed this through the Iberia app (the flight shows on my profile).
However when I try to choose a seat for this flight it comes up as 13/26 euros. My JAL number is attached to the booking. How can I get this to properly reflect my status so I can get a seat (preferably emergency) without needing to pay? Or am I misunderstanding something?
Thanks!

IB and JL and the opposites in their generosity towards free advanced seat selection for OWR, on JL one can get bulkheads/exit rows free (from the time of booking) and on IB nothing.

Their website seems to indicate otherwise? Unless this just means I have the ability to book in advance with a fee?

And IB's policy is OWRs don't get free seat selection. (OWSes do, except XL seats which are pay-only; OWEs get full free access.)

Hmm, that seems confusing to me. I thought since it's on their website that they're advertising it as a perk of their airline, but if you were on a codeshared flight then it would depend on the other airline's policy. But I see what you mean. Confusing, but oh well!
