Oneworld Ruby (BA Bronze) Benefits in IB-operated flight
Not sure if I should ask this question on this or the BA forum. I am sure somebody knows the answer:
As a BA Bronce (OW Ruby) member is it correct that IB grants on their and IBEX- and Air Nostrum-flights one piece of extra checked luggage (even with the lowest fare not including any checked bag) and free seat reservations (also for exit or extra legroom-seats?)?
Thanks

You need to have Oneworld Sapphire (i.e. BA Silver) to guarantee those benefits on IB.
That said, IB does provide the checked bag benefit to its own IB Plata members. And sometimes IB treats the BAEC equivalent (i.e. BA Bronze) equally even though officially it doesn't have to. Maybe somebody has more direct experience of trying to check in a bag as a BA Bronze... (but ultimately I would just pay for the Optima fare and not take the risk)

No free seat selection for OWR and not even for IB's own OWR=Plata
